New
Bible Teaching Program On KTW Fridays, 2:30 PM
Beginning 2010, the Reformed Witness
Hour, a half hour, weekly program of biblical teaching, will be broadcast over
KTRW 630 AM, Fridays at 2:30 PM.
The Reformed Witness Hour is the radio voice of the
Protestant Reformed Churches in America www.prca.org.
These churches seek to remain faithful to the truths of the Bible that were
rediscovered at the time of the Reformation.
Over the past ten years the Protestant Reformed
Churches, with God's help, have been planting a church in Spokane. In March of
2009, the Covenant of Grace Protestant Reformed Church was organized and
instituted here in Spokane. They meet Sundays for worship at 10 AM and 5 PM on
the corner of Washington and Indiana (330 W. Indiana www.reformedspokane.org).
For the first four months of 2010, Pastor Rodney
Kleyn, the new pastor of Covenant of Grace, will be the speaker on the Reformed
Witness Hour. Pastor Kleyn will
begin the year with a study on the subject of prayer from the point of view of
the prayer Jesus taught us to pray in Luke 11, commonly known as The Lord's
Prayer. The regular speaker is Pastor Carl Haak, pastor of Georgetown
Protestant Reformed Church in Hudsonville, MI.
The Reformed Witness Hour was first produced and
aired in 1941 in Grand Rapids, MI. Throughout its history it has been aired
across the USA and to other parts of the world. Currently, as well as being on
20 stations in the USA, it is broadcast in the British Isles and the
Philippines.
This Statement of Purpose comes from the RWH
website, www.reformedwitnesshour.org.
The Reformed Witness Hour is committed to the proclamation of God's Truth from the viewpoint of Romans 11:36," For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." We believe that man was created to serve and glorify the one true God revealed in the Bible. Man's great problem is that, fallen in Adam, he will not and cannot do so. This brings upon man the just wrath of the Holy God. It is only through God's Son, Jesus Christ, and God's grace in Him, that we are able to know and glorify God. The Bible, which is the inspired Word of God, reveals Jesus Christ and God's grace in Him to us. Through the proclamation of His Word, God is pleased to gather His people to Himself in the way of repentance and faith.
